Dr. Denis Simons, Chiropractor, Clinic Director DC, BSc.
Dr. Denis Simons graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon in March of 2000, where he received several awards of distinction. Dr. Simons moved to Calgary in the spring of 2000. He owned and operated Penny Lane Chiropractic and Health in the downtown core from 2001 until 2006, when he joined the Advantage Health group of clinics. An avid and once competitive skier, Dr. Simons spent many years as a volunteer on the Lake Louise Ski Patrol and competed in several Big Mountain Competitions. For several years he enjoyed the opportunity to work and travel with the Canadian National Snowboarding team, treating several Olympic medalists along the way. His reputation consistently has travelling musicians and athletes requesting treatments as their travels bring them through Calgary. Dr. Simons continually attends seminars and courses to make sure he has the most current and relevant information and techniques. As a diversified chiropractic practitioner, he utilizes manual chiropractic adjusting techniques, home exercise, and various soft tissue and stretching techniques to help his patients achieve their healthcare and wellness goals. Carlee Anderson, Physiotherapist PT, MScPT, BKin, BDN
Carlee is a graduate with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2015 and has also completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary in 2012. She is a CPA Orthopedic Level III Manual Therapist who is certified in Biomedical Dry Needling. She is also experienced with athletic taping/strapping and Kinesiotaping. Her clinical interests include SI joint dysfunction, acute low back pain, neck pain, TMJD, craniovertebral dysfunction and shoulder injuries. Growing up in Champion, AB, Carlee was involved in several sports at competitive and recreational levels as both an athlete and a coach. She is most passionate and experienced with figure skating, equestrian, volleyball and softball. She also has an avid interest in fitness and nutrition which keeps her committed to living her best and healthiest life. She looks forward to continuing to complete the CPA Orthopedic levels as well as becoming certified as a Sports Therapist. Carlee believes in taking a comprehensive approach to rehab in order to maximize your recovery and performance.
Marie-Pier Begot Coladon, Physiotherapist PT, MHScPT, BSc., IMS Certified, Bilingual (Francais, English)

Marie-Pier is originally from Trois-Rivières, Québec. She moved to Alberta at a young age, allowing her to learn both English and French. She graduated from the bilingual University of Ottawa with a Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy, after completing her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the Faculté Saint-Jean of the University of Alberta. As part of her graduate degree, she has completed her Sport First Responder certification as well as Part A of the McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy method, which aims at addressing low back injuries, presenting with or without associated lower extremity pain. This assessment and treatment technique uses specific movements and encourages patient engagement to promote better outcomes. Marie-Pier is currently undertaking her Orthopaedic Level Manual Therapy courses through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division to help enrich her clinical approach and is looking to add dry needling to her skillset later this year. She has gained clinical proficiency working with shoulder, low back, and knee injuries, with a particular interest in rotator cuff related injuries. Having played competitive female ice hockey herself growing up, she is also passionate about guiding both recreational and competitive athletes as they safely return to sport.
As part of her treatments, Marie-Pier believes in the use of a comprehensive approach by complementing any manual therapy with personalized exercises and strategies to help her patients achieved the promptest recovery. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, caring for her two adorable bunnies and staying active through outdoor jogging, hiking, skating and downhill skiing.
Jenna Aiuto, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist PT, MScPT, BKin, FDN, Spinal Manipulation
Jenna graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2014. She then went on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2016 from Glasgow Caledonian University. During her education, Jenna gained valuable knowledge and practical experience working with patients suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction. She worked on the maternity ward directly with new moms and taught pre- and post-natal pelvic health seminars. Jenna completed her thesis on 'The Effectiveness of Pelvic Floor Muscle Training for the treatment of Urinary Incontinence in Post-natal Women'. This research led her to pursue a specialty in Women's health to treat patients with incontinence, diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, lumbopelvic pain and dyspareunia. In addition, Jenna has a passion for treating all musculoskeletal injuries and is certified in Functional Dry Needling and Spinal Manipulation. In her spare time, Jenna enjoys travelling, hiking, playing badminton, pickleball and soccer!
Nathan Albinati, Physiotherapist MScPT, BSc
Nathan received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2020. Prior to this he completed his Bachelor of Science (Honors) from Mount Royal University. Nathan is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and registered by the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta in good standing.
He is committed to continued learning and has completed advanced training in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation, and Functional Dry Needling (FDN Level 1).
Nathan believes in working with patients to achieve their goals and empowering them to have an active role in their rehabilitation. His approach to treatment is grounded in providing strong, evidence based manual therapy combined with education and individualized exercise prescription. Nathan is thrilled to share his expertise and passion for active rehabilitation with patients of all ages and will ensure each patient has the tools and strategies they need to both recover and prevent recurrent injury.
Outside of the clinic, Nathan enjoys all things active, including running, hockey, hiking, snowboarding and strength training.
Shaun Macauley, Physiotherapist PT, BMRPT, CAFCI, CGIMS
Shaun received his Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy from the University of Manitoba. Shaun is fortunate to have worked across a broad range of rehabilitation spanning from providing injury prevention lectures to youth athletics, injury management for numerous sporting events, to the treatment of chronic back pain. Shaun passionately directs his time to improving patient care collaboration not only within the Momentum and Evidence Models, but also across our public and private healthcare systems. Shaun also enjoys mentoring recently graduated Physiotherapists & Kinesiologists. Shaun has completed his designations in Spinal & Peripheral manipulation, Diagnostic Imaging, Acupuncture, and Intramuscular Stimulation including Gunn IMS. Shaun maintains a clinical caseload welcoming patients at various Momentum Health locations.
Carrie Slater, Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Carrie has been practicing massage therapy since 2003. Her passion and excitement for massage continues to grow and evolve. She has developed unique techniques and applications of Therapeutic Massage called Reciprocal Response Massage. This is a technical and therapeutic massage that is based on her philosophy that it doesn’t have to hurt to work! Achieving the results and benefits of a therapeutic massage without pain is the main goal of Carrie’s treatment plan. Every massage is customized based on the needs and goals of each patient, helping to resolve underlying habits or postures and giving easy to incorporate daily stretch-er-cizes.
Carrie has bicycled to the 3 coasts of our beautiful country in an unsupported tour with a friend that took 4.5 months. What an amazing experience to explore so much beauty and test her mettle. It also proved her innate knowledge of biomechanics and the practical application of daily stretch-er-cizes.
Carlos Guzman, Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Carlos Guzman has been a registered massage therapist with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA) since 2013 after graduating from CDI college with a diploma that included 2200-hours training. Carlos enjoys helping his clients to feel better by releasing their muscle tension, improving their posture and assisting them in recovering from injuries such as sprains, strains and whiplash. He has also been privileged to assist athletes in preparing for competitions such as races, marathons and team sports.
Carlos specializes in deep tissue massage using different techniques such as ischemic compression, trigger point and acupressure, allowing him to design a tailored treatment program for acute and chronic pain. Eva Olafson, Kinesiologist BSc Kin
Eva graduated from the University of Calgary in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science (with distinction) majoring in Kinesiology. Growing up in Calgary, Eva spent a lot of time on the slopes which eventually lead to her competing as a high-performance alpine ski racing career. After a couple of knee surgeries and university calling, it was time to pack it in. She continued her passion for the sport as a coach for several years and enjoys working with and mentoring young athletes. After graduation, Eva worked for a private clinic as a physiotherapy assistant where she helped patients through their rehabilitation journey. In her free time Eva enjoys travelling, skiing, golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Tiolu Babatunde, Kinesiologist BSc Kin
Tiolu graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2021. While studying, she developed an interest in the prevention and rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries. She did some research and volunteered with a physiotherapist to learn more about this area of interest. Her experience undergoing physiotherapy for a knee injury introduced her to the world of rehabilitation and she then developed a passion for helping individuals achieve success with their rehabilitation. She is passionate about health and wellness, specifically creating better habits to improve physical well-being. Tiolu enjoys swimming, resistance training and travelling.
Jessica Prézeau, Office Manager
Jessica is an Oﬃce Manager with seven years of experience in the paramedical industry. Though not originally from Calgary (who is?), she was born and raised in a small town in southern Alberta. She attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario for almost three years before deciding that the PST was a deal-breaker, and her family was simply too far away. So, she picked a poor Ontario man to spend the rest of her life with and moved back to Alberta in 2009.
In her pursuit to help others achieve their maximum potential, Jessica has always valued an ethical, sustainable and purpose-led workplace. She is a relentless advocate for working smarter, not harder. Jessica is the champion of ‘slow is smooth and smooth is fast’.

Carlie Ross, Office Administrator
Carlie was born and raised in Calgary. She has always had a passion for health and wellness and her goal is to one day go to the chiropractic college. As part of making this goal a reality, Carlie went to Mount Royal University and graduated in April of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education, with a major in Physical Literacy. While studying at MRU, Carlie brought her delight in the sport of rock climbing to Taking Strides, an adaptive physical literacy program where volunteers encourage kids with disabilities to try activities they wouldn't normally try. Carlie is thrilled to be able to learn from her Momentum Health colleagues every day.
Shakhnoza Toshmatova, Office Administrator
Shakhnoza enjoys working in customer service because she finds pleasure in interacting with others on a daily basis. She is passionate about learning and trying new things. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Tajikistan where she was born and raised. After moving to Canada in 2014, she joined Links to Success program at CIWA where she discovered her enthusiasm to be in a communication rich role, to help and provide a service to others which led her to start a new career as a MOA. Coming from the mountain ranges of Central Asia, she loves the nature and hikes. She was exposed to diverse groups and cultures through traveling to France, India, UAE, Egypt, Russia as well as through her rewarding career in customer service here, in Canada. Because of her curiosity in diverse cultures and immigration, she graduated from the Immigration Consultant diploma program at Academy of Learning College in 2021 to learn more about immigration and refugee law as a hobby. Currently, she volunteers for Canada Connects program at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society by helping newly arrived refugee families to integrate into Canadian society.
Laura Dawe, Office Administrator
Laura was born in Toronto, Ontario but relocated to Calgary when she was in middle school. Laura has always maintained a passion for both medicine and animals, which led her to graduate from the Veterinary Office and Technical Assistant program at Robertson College in 2020. She spent over a year in both primary and emergency veterinary medicine before making the switch to human medicine. As a strong advocate for healthy eating, work/life balance, and a commitment to mental health initiatives, Laura looks forward to learning about the benefits of physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage therapy, in addition to the myriad of other helpful services offered at Momentum Health.
In her free time, you can find Laura curled up with a book, her two chihuahuas, a radio tuned onto classical music, and her favorite mountain scenery outside her window.
