Physiotherapist
PT

Tammy Kwan is a physiotherapist  at Momentum Health.  Tammy recently sold her activewear business and has returned to her physiotherapy profession as an intern after several years of raising her family and running her business.  Tammy graduated from the University of Alberta and has 15 years of previous clinical orthopaedic experience.   Her focus has been on manual therapy and needling to assist clients return back to their daily activities and enjoying their sports.  She believes that treatment should consist of a combination of manual therapy to help clients reduce their pain and patient exercise, stretching and education.

She attained certifications for manipulations (Part B Manual Therapist), IMS (Dry Needling) and Acupuncture before her "break" from physiotherapy.  She is working towards reinstating those restricted activities with the support of the great team at Momentum Health over the next year. Her strengths include helping patients progress and decrease their pain and improve body mechanics.  When patients invest their time and energy with Tammy to get themselves better, she sees it as a privilege and that makes her happy.
