Eli Silva, Physiotherapist, Clinic Director PT, BScPT, CMT, Dry Needling
Eli is a Brazilian trained physio and has been practicing physio in Calgary for many years. Eli got his bachelor in physiotherapy from the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health), Salvador, Brazil in 2005. He has taken Kinetacore Functional dry needling level 1 and is a certified manipulative therapist through Swodeam Institute. He is also trained in Global Postural Reeducation (GPR) in Brazil were he held a private practice before moving with his family to Canada.(GPR) is a specific physiotherapy approach based on the Mézières method and further developed by French physiotherapist Philippe E. Souchard. This French founded system focuses on correcting body mechanics and muscle imbalances via releasing and unwinding muscle chains in the body.
Eli is very enthusiastic about functional rehabilitation, educating his clients and walking with them as he empowers and enables them to get back to their health and enjoy life to their fullest. He has over 8 years of martial arts experience and currently trains in HapKiDo. He likes to play soccer and volleyball. In his spare time Eli loves to barbecue (Brazilian style) for his friends and family, and spend time with his lovely wife and 3 boys.
Dr. Cory Wowk, Sport Medicine Physician MD, CCFP, Dip Sport Med
Dr. Cory Wowk is a sports medicine physician from Calgary, Alberta.. Dr. Wowk completed his medical studies at the University of Calgary. His sports medicine and injury management experiences include over 10 years of working directly with the orthopedic surgeons at the hospitals in Calgary (orthopedic resident extender) and 9 years in working as physician for the Calgary Fire Department where he manages many acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and challenges. Previously, he received his first degree in education and taught junior high for two years before transitioning to medical school, where he uses his teaching skills in his practice.
His team based highlights as physician include: Team physician 2017-18 Team Canada World Junior Men’s Hockey Team, Okotoks Dawgs 2017 baseball team, 2016 Hockey Canada Men's World Championship Under 18 team and the 2014 Hockey Canada Men's World Under 17 teams. He has worked with various other local teams in the past as well.

Kristen Hunter, Physiotherapist PT, MSc.PT, BKin
(currently on mat leave)
Kristen realized her passion for rehabilitation after sustaining an ACL injury as a minor soccer player. As a result, she is able to appreciate first hand the effect therapy can have on recovery. Kristen received her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2015 from the University of Alberta and her Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2012 from the University of Calgary. Kristen has worked in a variety of physiotherapy settings, but has a special interest in vestibular, concussion and orthopedic rehabilitation. Kristen has completed additional training in dizziness, balance, and concussion assessment/treatment. She has completed level II and III Upper for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulation courses. Kristen's treatment philosophy is to provide physiotherapy grounded in research and exercise to bring you the dedicated one on one approach you deserve. Outside the clinic Kristen enjoys curling, golfing and chasing her family around the playground.

Rebecca Brandt, Physiotherapist PT, MScPT, BScKin
Rebecca graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this degree she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. While studying at the University of Alberta she competed on the Pandas Varsity Soccer team. As a student-athlete, Rebecca understands the commitment it takes to excel in competitive sports, but understands the challenges of finding time to fit everything in. She relocated to Calgary, Alberta in 2018 and has previously worked in Okotoks and Red Deer. Rebecca has completed further training in manual therapy, functional dry needling, Mulligan mobilizations, and has experience in treating individuals in the community with Parkinson’s Disease and MS. She is passionate about being a physical therapist and helping people achieve their goals while recovering from an injury, overcoming chronic pain, or maintaining an active lifestyle. Away from work, Rebecca enjoys running, skiing, biking, playing tennis, and training her dog in agility.
Barbara Lindner, Physiotherapist MPT, BKin
Originally trained in the field of design, Barbara later rediscovered her love for running and grew an appreciation for how it contributed to her mental and physical well-being. Choosing to explore this interest further, Barbara decided to return to school and earned her Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Since then, she has worked in private practice clinics in Vancouver and Calgary with a special interest in lower extremity and running related injuries.
Barbara takes an individualized approach and designs her care plans to meet the unique goals of each patient. She promotes therapeutic exercise and education, supplemented with various manual therapy techniques and modalities. She believes that utilizing the body’s unique ability to adapt is the best way to achieve and maintain positive long-term outcomes. Outside of work, Barbara enjoys running, swimming, walking her 2 dogs, drawing, and teaching herself piano.
Dr. Victoria McArthur, Chiropractor DC, MSc, BSc, BKin, Functional Integrated Acupuncture
Victoria graduated from the University of Western States with her Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters of Science in Sports Medicine in 2020 after completing her Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She has completed training in acupuncture and dry needling through the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and intends to complete her Active Release Therapy training, along with other functional rehabilitation methods, in the coming year.
Victoria’s focus is blending active rehabilitation, acupuncture, and chiropractic adjustments to benefit the patient as a whole. She believes that each patient is unique and there is not one “cookie cutter” approach to treatment. Victoria believes in assessing the complete kinetic chain and applying treatment to areas of dysfunction in the spine, extremities, and/or soft tissues. Her passion lies in adolescent athletics and the impact sports has on the body in the long term. Before her career as a Chiropractor, she worked as a Team Trainer with the Calgary Buffaloes, a Kinesiologist at Momentum Health, and still volunteers with the Canadian Ski Patrol. She loves treating all athletes, from the elite levels to the Weekend Warriors.
Victoria is a retired athlete, having played college level volleyball in Halifax, NS. Growing up she was active in her community with soccer, volleyball, basketball, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. When not at the clinic, Victoria can be found exploring in the mountains, floating on a lake, reading a good book, or adventuring with her family and their dog, Bella.
Matias Zapata, Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Matias is a 2200-hour RMT graduate from Mount Royal University and is a member with the MTAA. Matias is passionate about his work and always seeks to provide his clients with exceptional service and homecare to help remedy any issues they may present with. His treatments often incorporate a variety of techniques, such as deep tissue, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PnF) techniques, Dynamic Cupping and Swedish massage. He believes a balance of therapeutic massage and stretching is key in maintaining longevity in tissue health. Matias is also a Lower Body RAPID specialist.

In his spare time, Matias enjoys boarding and biking with his friends through scenic Calgary and area paths, and spending time with his family and friends.
Sarah Thomson, Registered Massage Therapist RMT, Personal Trainer
Sarah first moved to Calgary in 2014 and completed her Bachelor of Health and Physical Education degree at Mount Royal University. After working for a year as a fitness consultant, she went back to MRU to complete the 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma program. She enjoys working with massage therapy clients not only to help them physically, but also to improve mental health and overall well-being! When not at work, she loves to be outside walking her puppy Luna, and spending time with family and friends!

Alysha Creaghan, Kinesiologist BSc Kin
Alysha was born and raised in Calgary Alberta and in 2017 relocated to Halifax Nova Scotia where she recently graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology. During her time out east, she worked part time in a physiotherapy clinic to gain hands on experience in the field. Additionally, Alysha volunteered with various organizations, such as parasport Nova Scotia and trainer for the provincial ringette team.
Alysha competed as a ringette goalie at the Alberta Winter Games, National and International levels, which helped to develop her passion for injury rehabilitation amongst high level athletes. She has lead many young ringette athletes through sports camps with a focus on injury prevention through an active lifestyle. In her spare time Alysha enjoys playing and coaching ringette, running and hiking.
Nicolas Herrera, Kinesiologist BSc Kin
Nicolas moved from Colombia in 2003 and has lived in Calgary ever since. He recently graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology. During his time at the University of Calgary, Nicolas volunteered at a physical rehabilitation center where he was able to develop and practice many skills and get hands on experience. Nicolas has played competitive soccer for most of his life which sparked his interest in Sports Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. Nicolas is very passionate about community outreach, has volunteered with many local organizations and runs his own initiative in support of newcomers which has impacted more than 120 families coming to Calgary from all around the world.
Jordan Cunningham, Office Manager
Jordan was born and raised in Calgary, and has lived here her entire life. In 2015 Jordan graduated from Robertson College with her Health Unit Clerk diploma. After receiving her Health Unit Clerk diploma, Jordan worked in the Optometry industry for the last 4 years. She began her career working as an Optometrist Assistant, working her way to become the Referral Coordinator for the practice. Jordan then became the EMR Specialist for the practice where she expanded her skill set.
On her days off Jordan enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her cat Carl. During the winter months you can find Jordan on the ski hill, and during the summer Jordan enjoys long boarding along the Parkland ridge overlooking Fish Creek.
Nikita Russell, Office Administrator
Nikita recently graduated from Bow Valley College with her Medical Office Assistant certificate. She changed careers recently and is excited to be using what she learned in college to help others. Nikita is a part of the Blood Tribe Reserve near Lethbridge, AB. When she is not in Calgary, she loves to spend her time with family on her reserve. She enjoys being in the mountains and in the water during the summer, and loves being out in the snow come wintertime.
Chelsea Matthews, Office Administrator
Chelsea graduated from the Hospital Unit Clerk program at Bow Valley College. She enjoys working with people and putting a smile on their face. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, cross stitching, and going to the dog park with her dog, Basil.
Tara Russell, Office Administrator
Tara was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta and later moved to Calgary to pursue her culinary career after graduating with a culinary diploma. After many years she switched careers and started her journey into the healthcare field. She then graduated with a Medical Office Assistant certificate, and in the future will be pursuing her LPN education. In the winter, Tara enjoys staying out of the cold and beading and sewing different kinds of native regalia and jewellery. In the summer, you can find her in the mountains and hiking the Alberta trails.
