Heidi Osborne

Heidi Osborne
- Physiotherapist

Heidi Osborne graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Physical Therapy in 1997 from the University of Alberta.  Heidi has worked in multidisciplinary inter-collaborative sports and private practices in North Vancouver, Whistler, Cochrane and Calgary. She has pursued several post graduate qualifications in sports and orthopedics. Heidi has achieved her Certificate of Advance Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy (Part A) from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (2003), Advance Spinal Manipulation course V4 (2008), SPC Sports First Responder certification (2009), certification in Gunn IMS (2006), as well as training in medical acupuncture (2001). She has also completed a post-graduate course in diagnostic imaging (2016).

Heidi has worked and travelled with many sports teams including the National freestyle team (1998-2001) and the National Snowboard team (2006-present), National Skicross Team (2019-present).  She was the Western Physiotherapy Coordinator for the Canadian Snowboard Federation and went to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics as the team physiotherapist. She treats a wide cross section of clients from children to seniors, Olympic to recreational athletes. She has worked with BREG since 1998 to provide custom OA and ACL knee braces and splints. Heidi’s areas of special interests are treatment of spinal conditions, sport and dance injuries.

She enjoys educating individuals about their injuries and maximizing their performance in sports, work and play. She enjoys skiing, hiking, dance and yoga. Heidi is very grateful for the opportunity to work with the experienced Physiotherapists, Physicians and Nurse Practitioners at Evidence Sport and Spinal Therapy.

Geoff Schneider

Geoff Schneider

Geoff is a clinical specialist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He is a partner at Evidence Sport and Spine and Centric Health in Calgary, Alberta.  Geoff is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Cumming School of Medicine, at the University of Calgary.  He also holds adjunct faculty appointments at Andrews University and the University of British Columbia in their respective Departments of Physical Therapy. Following completion of his Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University, Geoff completed his Fellowship in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2002.  He also became certified in GunnIMS in the same year. Geoff completed his doctoral studies (DSc) from Andrews University.  His research involved cervical spine facet joint mediated pain and its effect on sensory hypersensitivity in chronic whiplash patients.  He has presented at numerous conferences and clinical rounds and has taught post-graduate courses across Canada and the United States.  He is a co-developer and instructor of a modular based, evidence-based course in the management of whiplash associated disorders.  Geoff has a strong interest in clinical epidemiology, in particular diagnostic accuracy in cervical spine disorders.  As a result, he is pursued further doctoral studies, a PhD, at the University of Calgary in the Faculty of Medicine.  He completed his PhD in May 2013 and his research involved the derivation of a clinical prediction guide in the diagnosis of facet joint mediated pain in the cervical spine.  Geoff was awarded a CIHR doctoral research award Canada Graduate Scholarship.  Geoff has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in the area of musculoskeletal pain. He completed a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta. His postdoctoral research is in the area of advanced physiotherapy practice and spine care management.  Through his passion for life-long education, his vision is to see physiotherapists continue to advance their involvement and expertise in multidisciplinary environments for the betterment of patient outcomes world-wide.

Kathryn Schneider

Kathryn Schneider

Kathryn Schneider is a physiotherapist in Calgary, Alberta and graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy in 1998.  She has completed her Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (2004), certification in Gunn IMS (2002) and a certification program in Vestibular Rehabilitation (Emory University), an Advances In Vestibular Rehabilitation (Duke University), and a Doctor of Science degree (DSc) (Andrew’s University) (2008) with her research focusing on dizziness and cervical spine dysfunction.  She completed her PhD at the University of Calgary studying the effects of multimodal physiotherapy and vestibular rehabilitation in athletes who have sustained sport-related concussions. Kathryn has presented at numerous conferences, clinical rounds and has instructed courses on vestibular rehabilitation, whiplash and cervical spine pain.  She was a member of the expert panel of the International Consensus on Concussion in Sport 2012 and 2017. Kathryn was selected by Avenue Magazine as one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40.

Jeff Habberfield

Jeff graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2005, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2008. Jeff has completed his Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) and is a certified Gunn IMS practitioner and Vestibular therapist. Jeff is very grateful for the opportunity to learn from and work with the experienced Physiotherapists, Physicians and Nurse Practitioners at Evidence Sport and Spine. He has a special interest in spinal conditions and motor vehicle accidents. Jeff enjoys the opportunity to work with all disciplines to provide the best possible outcome for each patient.

Robert Holmes

Rob has expanded hours!

Robert Holmes has over 20 years of experience in physiotherapy and has been fortunate to work with a wide number of patients as well as their friends and family. While a large part of his practice is complex spine, hip and shoulder pain, all musculoskeletal injuries and patients are welcome.  Rob also has a special interest in headaches and running injuries.

Rob is passionate about providing a thorough assessment and diagnosis and taking time to help people understand their injury and treatment options. His rehabilitation interests are hands-on manual therapy, effective self-management options, therapeutic exercise and intra-muscular stimulation/dry-needling. In addition to traditional conservative rehabilitation, Rob has years of experience in providing consultation for and rehabilitation during medical procedures such as prolotherapy, PRP and interventional radiology procedures.

Rob graduated from McGill University in 1996 and received an Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2003. He completed a Masters in Clinical Science and Manipulative Physiotherapy from Western University in 2008 and is also certified in Intra-Muscular Stimulation/dry-needling. 

In addition to clinical practice Rob is enthusiastic about teaching and has had the privilege of mentoring many physiotherapists in advanced practice orthopaedic physiotherapy.

Vicki Dancek

Vicki Dancek

Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Physical Therapy in 1996 from the University of Toronto. Vicki has completed her manual therapy fellowship diploma (FCAMPT) and her Medical Acupuncture Certification, (University of Alberta and University of Beijing, China). Vicki has a special interest in treating headaches, neck and back pain. She also loves working within the multidisciplinary team at Evidence, to provide an appropriate solution to ongoing musculoskeletal problems, which may involve providing referral for prolotherapy evaluation/treatment, or interventional radiology procedures; as well as providing physiotherapy management before, during and after such procedures. Vicki also has an interest in work station ergonomics and core stabilization/postural retraining.

Susan Massitti

Susan Massitti

Susan is passionate to empower people to be aware of and to connect to

collaborating to stimulate the body’s innate wisdom to heal to be your
healthiest and happiest you!
Susan graduated with Clinical Masters from the University of Queensland in
Australia, is a Registered International Sports Physical Therapist, certified in
Acupuncture, Vestibular rehabilitation, concussion and pre and postnatal
health and instructs in UBC Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS)
course. Susan has worked at a multitude of international sporting events,
including five Olympics. The range of treatment techniques that she has
been trained in at the highest postgraduate level includes manual therapy,
manipulations, functional and sport specific rehabilitation, intramuscular
stimulation (IMS), acupuncture, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation,
perinatal care and women’s health and persistent pain.
Susan is a “student of movement” and shares from her expertise as
Classical Pilates teacher, an Olympic athlete (1998 Nagano Winter Olympics
- long track speed skating) and enjoyment of an active lifestyle.

Rob Ruddick

Rob Ruddick

Rob completed his Human Kinetics degree at UBC in 1998 and went on to study Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2001. He has called Calgary home since 2002.

Rob strongly values his professional relationships with Physiotherapy colleagues, Family Physicians, Sport Medicine Physicians, Physiatrists, and Orthopedic Surgeons.  He brings ten years of experience from the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre and over two years of experience with the EFW Advanced Spinal Care Centre where he worked closely with Dr. Arun Gupta in the Clinical Assessment Unit. He is thrilled to have joined the team of experienced Physiotherapists and support staff at Evidence Sport and Spine North on a full time basis in September of 2018.

In 2009 Rob completed his certificate in Gunn IMS (cGIMS) and in 2011 his Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). He blends exercise prescription with manual therapy, needling and acupuncture to help his patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Rob’s additional interests include post concussion rehabilitation, cycling related injuries and shoulder and knee injuries.

Melissa Kuehner

Melissa graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.   She joins the team at Evidence with over 20 years of clinical experience in dealing with musculoskeletal injuries both simple and complex.  She obtained her Advanced diploma in Manipulative Therapy ( FCAMPT) and was certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation in 2001.  She has attended numerous courses and conferences over the years that have added to her expertise as a therapist.

Melissa has a hands on approach to treatment.  She feels the right combination of manual therapy, dry needling, specific exercises and client participation will help the client reach their fullest potential.

Kerry Worbets

Kerry Worbets

Kerry graduated in 2014 from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Physical Therapy.  She completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology from Acadia University in 2012, along with completing their Sports Injury Assessment and Management Program. Through this program she worked as an athletic therapist with the varsity men’s hockey team and the women’s soccer team where her passion for rehabilitation began. She has continued her pursuit in sport and is currently working as the lead physiotherapist for the Canadian Olympic Luge team. Through sport she has developed a special interest in concussion assessment and rehabilitation. Kerry is committed to further developing her knowledge and skills within the field of physiotherapy. She attended McMaster University for Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and is also certified in functional dry needling/IMS. She is continuing her education in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and has taken courses in assessing functional movement including the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment). She has completed advanced training in pelvic floor rehabilitation and is joining the team at Evidence Sport and Spine as the Pelvic Health physiotherapist.


Kerry treats a broad variety of pelvic health dysfunctions in men and women including bowel and bladder incontinence, overactive bladder, constipation, pre- and post-natal conditions, pelvic organ prolapse, pre and post surgical patients, and chronic pelvic pain.  Kerry approaches treatment in a holistic manner with a focus on education, exercise, hands-on manual therapy, and acupuncture. She is very excited for the opportunity to learn and work with the team at Evidence Sport and Spine.

Shelby Wogsberg

Shelby Wogsberg

Shelby completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy Degree in 2017 from the University of Alberta. Prior to completing this degree, she also completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences and a Certificate in Community and Disability Rehabilitation.

Throughout her Masters Degree, she worked with the Leduc Junior Athletic Club, Hockey Alberta and the Okanagan Hockey Academy in men’s hockey, as well as the University of Alberta’s Wrestling program. She has most recently worked with the development team for Canada’s National Speed Skating team and through her work with sport, Shelby has achieved her Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy.  She greatly enjoys treating sports related injuries of all levels - recreational level athletes, elite athletes, and weekend warriors.

Along with her clinical practice, Shelby is also actively pursuing her Diploma in Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She is currently certified in Advanced Clinical Practice, IMS dry needling, Sport Physiotherapy, Sport First Responder, K-taping, and soft tissue release. With these skills, Shelby enjoys treating TMJ dysfunction, neck, mid-back and low back pain, hip pain and concussions. She looks forward to enhancing her skills with Evidence Sport and Spine.

Outside of physiotherapy, you will find Shelby at the dog park with her two dogs and fiancé, and training and racing in Ironman triathlon events around the world.

Shelley Saunders

Shelley Saunders

Shelley obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996 at the University of Saskatchewan. She obtained 2 years of additional training under Sheelah Woodhouse at the Dizziness and Balance Centre in Calgary. In the pursuit of further learning, Shelley also completed Dr. Herdman's Vestibular Rehabilitation course in Atlanta, Georgia.

Shelley proudly contributes to the concussion care provided at Evidence and is inspired by the wealth of research conducted here in Calgary.

Shelley has an interest in ergonomics and senior's fall prevention and enjoys utilizing her knowledge of vestibular and concussion care for Calgarians.

Lisa Loos

Lisa Loos

Lisa graduated with a 2,200-hour Massage Therapy Diploma from Mount Royal University in 2016. Prior to completing her diploma, Lisa attended the University of Calgary, obtaining a Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree. Her passion has always been in injury prevention and rehabilitation, and has become educated in taping a multitude of injuries, including ankles and wrists. As her passion continues, Lisa looks to obtain certifications in sports massage therapy, lymphatic drainage, and myofascial release techniques. In her spare time, Lisa loves getting involved in sports, whether it be out there participating, volunteering behind the scenes or cheering from the stands. Lisa also enjoys music, writing, photography, and spending time with friends and family.

Eric Lavoie

Eric Lavoie

Eric is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the province of Alberta. Prior to becoming an NP, Eric worked as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room in Ottawa, Inuvik, and Calgary. He also worked for Health Canada as an out-post nurse in a remote northern Alberta community. Eric went on to complete a Clinical Masters Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice, which gives him the ability to diagnose, order laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, prescribe medications, and perform advanced invasive techniques. In addition to his generalist training as an NP, Eric furthered his studies by completing additional practicum training in ultrasound-guided regenerative medicine at Calgary's Advanced Spinal Care Center. He is one of only a few medically trained practitioners in the province to offer ultrasound-guided injections to the spine. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal injuries and pain that originate from muscles, ligaments, or tendons. Eric is regarded as a clinical expert in his field and has given presentations on this subject at the University of Calgary, Canadian Bar Association, and multiple physiotherapy clinics throughout Calgary. He enjoys working closely and collaboratively with other health professionals, throughout Alberta and BC, in treating patients suffering from more complex pain.He is also the current president of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Alberta (NPAA). The NPAA is the professional voice for NPs and sees him working with government, politicians, and key stakeholders to improve Alberta's healthcare system. In his personal live, he is married to a wonderfully supportive and understanding wife, Kristine, and has three children: Eli, Owen, and Colette.

Dr. Adrian Gretton

Dr. Adrian Gretton

Dr. Gretton has a particular interest in musculoskeletal assessment as well as pain and injury management. His primary focus at this clinic is Prolotherapy treatment, which effectively treats injuries and degenerative changes in ligaments, joints, and tendons. He also offers platelet rich plasma injections. Dr. Gretton has a background in family medicine and occupational medicine, as well as chronic pain. He enjoys teaching and life-long learning, and is a community-based clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary, where he completed his medical training in 1986.

Dr. Todd Gash

Dr. Gash has been a practicing physician at the Advanced Spinal Care Center, now Evidence Sport and Spinal, for the last 7 years with a primary focus in treating chronic musculoskeletal disorders using ultrasound guided regenerative injection therapies including dextrose prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma injections. Dr. Gash has a background in Sports and Occupational Medicine. He has been practicing in Calgary since 1998 after completion of his military service as Battlegroup Medical Officer for NATO in Bosnia-Herzegovna. He completed his medical training at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1993 and a family medicine residency at McGill University in 1995. He obtained his Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2005.

Dr. Tony Giantomaso

Dr. Giantomaso is a Calgary-based Physiatrist who primarily works with Musculoskeletal and Brain Injury associated problems. He has a special interest in Post-Traumatic neck pain, Post-traumatic Headaches, and Migraine Headaches. His focus is in the use of Botox, trigger-points and other interventional pain management techniques for the treatment of Spinal pain and Migraine and post-traumatic Headaches. Dr. Giantomaso also has extensive experience in medico-legal medicine and has worked with many law-firms as a Medical Expert and expert witness in chronic post-traumatic pain. Dr. Giantomaso has extensive experience in Community-based chronic spine pain, athlete and non-athlete chronic musculoskeletal issues, Interventional Spinal Procedures, and Brain Injury Rehabilitation. He enjoys teaching in his role as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary in Undergraduate Medicine. He completed his Post-Graduate Medical Residency at the University of Alberta, followed by a year of interventional spinal management training. Dr. Giantomaso's credentials include Fellowship of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2008, his Medical Doctorate in 2003 at the University of Saskatchewan, and his Doctor of Chiropractic, Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999, and Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary, 1995.

Dr. Jonathan Chow

Dr. Jonathan Chow

Dr Chow originally did his training as a chiropractor and had a sports therapy practice in Calgary. He branched into medicine and retrained completing his medical school at the University of Alberta and residency at the University of Calgary. His current clinical practice consists of musculoskeletal injuries and back pain. He uses a variety of treatments including ultrasound guided regenerative medicine, and trigger point injections. He spends his time between both Evidence Sport and Spine North and South locations. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, mountain sports, and martial arts.

Kim Phair

Kim Phair

Kim is thrilled to be working in a multi-disciplinary clinic with the exceptional team at Evidence Sport and Spine. Working in healthcare is rewarding for Kim and she enjoys witnessing patients get back to living and enjoying a pain-free life. Kim has a degree in Office Administration and studied in Holistic Nutrition to complement her passion for natural, healthy living. In her spare time Kim is making memories with her two children or in the kitchen creating culinary masterpieces!

Bobbi Jo Schlaut

Bobbi Jo Schlaut

In 1997, Bobbi-Jo received a degree in Business and Entrepreneurship at Mount Royal College and then started a 19 year career with the Calgary Police as a sworn officer. In the beginning of 2020, she left the CPS to start a new stage in life.  She  brings with her a large set of skills, one being a wealth of customer service. She enjoys helping people and staying busy.  She is excited to work with the Evidence Sport and Spine team and looks forward to becoming part of the fun and energetic family. 

When not at work, you can find her having fun with her family and friends, staying active and enjoying the outdoors. She is  also continuing her education through online courses in the areas of medical and veterinary assistance.

Linda Moynes-Hill

Linda Moynes-Hill

Linda joined the Evidence team in March 2015. She brought with her abundant experience in customer service and enjoys the challenge of a busy office. Linda looks forward to developing a rapport with the clinic patients and working productively with the fantastic group at Evidence.

Lois Chester

Lois Chester
- Office Administrator

Lois enjoyed a highly successful Massage Therapy practice for over 16 years before joining the Evidence team as the Administrative Assistant to the Doctors. She continues to have a keen interest in learning more about health and wellness and teaches raw food cookie, cracker and green smoothie workshops.  Lois enjoys hiking in and around the Rockies, spending time with family and friends and has taken up cross stitching to explore her artistic creative side.

Susan Avery

Susan Avery
- Office Administrator

With a degree in Kinesiology, Susan has worked extensively in the field of rehabilitation, including work with individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury. Work as an administrative assistant has also allowed her to work with individuals in a variety of capacities. Susan is looking forward to working with the team at Evidence Sport and Spine to provide the best patient experience possible.

Outside of work, Susan can be found following her passion for mountain biking. She is a certified PMBIA Level 1 instructor and loves introducing women to this amazing sport. Susan is also a member of the Spin Sister's mountain bike club and currently is the director of their race team.
