Alisha Mohamed-Kassam - Physiotherapist, Clinic Director MScPT, CAFCI
Alisha graduated with her Masters in Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2012. She also completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta. Alisha is also certified to practice acupuncture. Some of Alisha's future career endeavors include becoming certified for spinal and peripheral manipulations. Before beginning her physical therapy training, Alisha worked as an Exercise Therapist, as well as a trainer and coach for multiple men's, women's, and youth ball hockey teams. Along with ball hockey, Alisha has played competitive soccer, volleyball, and basketball. She also enjoys snowboarding, skating, hiking, boxing, running, and travelling.
Brendan Warawa - Athletic Therapist and Kinesiologist B.Kin, CAT
Brendan completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University. Brendan has worked with a wide variety of athletes, weekend warriors, and sports teams, specifically the U of C’s basketball and hockey programs. Brendan has a true passion for helping people return to their highest level of activity and meeting individual goals. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys spending time with his family, friends, camping, fishing, hiking, and anything else that gets him outdoors.
Diana Wilson -Physiotherapist MScPT, BKin
Diana graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia in 2013 and then went on to complete a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2015. Since graduating, she has worked as a physiotherapist in both private practice and hospital settings. Diana has completed additional training, including the Orthopaedic Division’s Manual Therapy Level 1 and Level 2-Upper courses as well as the Mulligan Concept Lower Quadrant course. She also plans to become certified in functional dry needling. Prior to starting her physical therapy training, Diana played competitive volleyball and basketball and also worked as a personal training coach. Diana strives to live a healthy, active lifestyle, and loves to get out hiking in the mountains as much as possible.
Leah Peterson - Physiotherapist (Coverage) MScPT, BSc (Kinesiology)
Leah graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta after completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. She enjoys working with all patient populations, including athletes, post-surgical, joint replacements, and chronic pain. Leah has a special interest in treating dancers due to her personal experience training and competing in multiple styles of dance. Leah has been a patient herself in physiotherapy, both pre and post-surgery, and she is excited to bring this unique perspective into her practice. She plans to complete further educational courses in dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, and manual therapy levels. Outside of work, Leah enjoys participating in dance, spin, and barre classes as well as a variety of sports including volleyball and slow-pitch.
Keri-Ann Cowan - Kinesiologist BSc.Kin
Keri-Ann graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2017 with her Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology. She plans to pursue further education in Physical Therapy in the upcoming year. Outside of academics, Keri-Ann competed full-time on the U of L Pronghorns Swimming Team and had the chance to coach age group athletes the importance of sport. She is excited to advance her knowledge in manual therapies, rehabilitation and exercise programs. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, running, and eating brunch.
Dr. Allykhan Lila - Chiropractor DC
Dr. Lila was born in Dar-Es-Saalam, Tanzania and moved to Calgary at a young age where he spent most of his life. After completing his high school education, he moved to Winnipeg, MB where he spent time studying in the field of Microbiology. To further his education he went to Toronto, ON to complete his chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He graduated with clinical honors and was on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. Dr. Lila uses an evidence-based, diversified approach to care that includes manual therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, instrument assisted manipulation, myofascial release therapy, and numerous other modalities to help his patients achieve optimal function and health. Dr. Lila has a special interest in working with all individuals struggling with complex conditions, pain, and dysfunction. Dr. Lila is passionate about the overall health and wellbeing of his patients. Not only does he treat his patients with the best care possible, but he also educates them on their ailments and how to take preventative measures. Dr. Lila is a member of the Alberta College of Chiropractors and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. Dr. Lila welcomes new patients and former patients and is looking forward to being a part of your personal health care team.
Jon-Michael Bertoli - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Jon-Michael was born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan city of Kamloops, British Columbia where he played a variety of competitive sports such as hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. In 2010, working as a labourer for his grandparent's construction company, Jon-Michael decided that he wanted to pursue a different career path. In deciding, he chose massage because he had watched his father’s body deteriorate from working in the construction industry and wanted to eventually help him. In 2011, moved to Calgary to attend school for massage therapy. Jon-Michael is passionate about making a difference in people's lives and helping clients achieve their goals. He believes in treating the cause of each patients’ concerns to alleviate or eliminate the symptoms by using a variety of techniques that he has learned not only in school but in his own practice. Also as a part of the treatment he provides his clients with a very detailed home care regiment such as stretching and strengthening exercises and the use of hot and cold therapy to increase the efficiency of treatment. He provides a welcoming, safe and relaxing environment for treatment. When he isn’t working or spending time with family and friends, Jon-Michael enjoys cooking, working out, yoga, and walking his puppy Lola.
Kristina Wilcox - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Kristina graduated the Massage Therapy Program with 2200 hours from Mount Royal University in 2012. She assesses each client's individual needs and goals and then creates a thorough and personalized treatment plan. Trigger-point therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy and Swedish massage are used to relax tension, increase range of motion, promote circulation and overall healing. Kristina is a Registered Massage Therapist and is licensed through the City of Calgary. Matthew Roy - Registered Massage Therapist RMT
Matthew grew up in BC before moving to Calgary to complete his 2,200 hour massage therapy diploma at Mount Royal University. He has always been passionate about the healthcare industry and massage therapy has been the perfect fit. Before beginning his schooling in massage therapy, his post-secondary schooling began with a biology and science focus. Now he brings this focus on anatomy and physiology to the treatment room. He believes that working with clients to create an effective treatment plan is the best way to deal with tough conditions. On top of the relaxation and therapeutic skills he acquired at Mount Royal, Matthew is also certified in level 2 lymphatic drainage techniques, a modality he plans to continue to study. In his free time he loves going to concerts, skiing, hiking, and exploring the Rockies. Matthew focuses on creating a positive and professional atmosphere and looks forward to helping you with your healthcare goals!
Kirsten Franssen - Office Manager
Kirsten was born and raised in Calgary and has worked in the healthcare field since graduating with her medical office administration diploma in 2013. Kirsten brings many years of customer service and patient care experience with her. She is looking forward to building a rapport with the Ogden patients; engaging with them to ensure every visit is a positive experience. In her free time, Kirsten can be found spending time exploring the Rockies with her family and dogs.
Kelsey Grossklaus - Office Administrator
Kelsey is currently attending Mount Royal University and is set to graduate in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education with her major in Physical Literacy. From there she will be pursuing an Education Degree in order to teach high school. Kelsey comes from a multi-sport background, andhas years of customer service experience, and a great knowledge of community and individual health and well being. In her off time, Kelsey enjoys volunteering at her local YMCA, dog walking, modelling, videography, hiking, poetry, and playing sports of all kinds.
Kristyn Ross - Office Administrator
Kristyn is a born and raised Calgarian who always has been one for helping others, which is what drew her right into the healthcare industry. Kristyn graduated from Bow Valley College with a Hospital Unit Clerk Certificate in 2016, and has experience in health administration. Kristyn is ecstatic to be apart of the Momentum Health team as of September 2017. In her spare time Kristyn enjoys being adventurous, hiking, volunteering, cooking, and spending time with her family.
