Dr. Oksana Tcherbak - Chiropractor DC
Dr. Oksana Tcherbak earned her degree of Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2000. Her roots belong to Ukraine, where she was born and raised, and completed her first degree in Engineering of Civil Aviation. 1992 was a turning point in her life – the Soviet Union fell apart and as a result, the economic and political situation in her homeland did not promise any future to a new graduate engineer. The opportunity came to immigrate to Canada and she arrived to St. John’s Newfoundland on Canada Day in 1992. While attending a language school for new Canadians she became an active participant of YMCA as a staff member. Through her fitness training certification, Oksana was introduced to chiropractic. A healthy lifestyle based on holisms and wellness was a normal everyday life for her and her family in Ukraine. She grew up with regular physical activities, sports, seasonal and local nutrition. Starting her life in Canada and observing how so many people were making completely wrong life style choices, Dr. Oksana decided that chiropractic would allow her to reach out and teach others about simple health and wellness.Dr. Oksana has been practicing wellness chiropractic for 15 years in Saskatchewan and Alberta, helping people of all ages to achieve their optimum health. She constantly strives to guide her patients on how to handle their stress, increase their energy and improve their quality of life. In her practice, Dr. Oksana utilizes Manual Chiropractic Adjustment, Activator Method, Soft Tissue Therapy, Active Release Technique, Exercise and Postural recommendations. Her special interests are Custom Orthotics, Kinesio Taping and Ergonomics. She likes to take interdisciplinary approach in cooperation with other health professionals for treating and diagnosing patients. As a female professional, a supportive wife, and a proud mother of three daughters, Dr. Oksana is aware of the stress we are all facing in today’s society, but she strives to show that it is possible to maintain balance, handle the stress, be full of energy and enjoy life. You could spot her jogging with her stroller, engaging in Pilates or Yoga classes. She enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking in the Rockies and spending time with her family and friends. By keeping a balanced lifestyle, Dr. Oksana believes that she will help her patients to achieve the same. To her, the greatest part of being a chiropractor is seeing people make life changes as they regain their health. She truly believes that life and health come from within and the maintenance of health is far superior to the treatment of disease.
