Mission

Darryl Finnerty - Physiotherapist

Darryl grew up in Calgary, Alberta and was a part of a very active family. After high school Darryl played Junior A hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for 2 years. He returned home where he obtained his Bachelor of Kinesiology, graduating with distinction and his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, from the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta respectively. Darryl is currently pursuing a certificate in Biomedical Dry Needling (IMS) as well as his Manual Therapy Series 1 certificate from the Swodeam Institute. Having played hockey in his whole life, Darryl has developed a special interest in working with athletes and return to sport after an injury.

Alison Taylor - Coverage Physiotherapist

Alison is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Dalhousie university and followed that up with her Master’s of science in physiotherapy also at Dalhousie university. Alison has completed many post graduate courses including specialized running injury courses, shoulder courses, and manual therapy courses. Alison has also completed her Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling - Level 1 to help relieve pain and restore function.  Alison has a passion for working with endurance athletes of any kind whether it be runners, swimmers, cyclists etc. Soft tissue injuries, repetitive strain injuries, and sports therapy are some of her specialties. Outside of work Alison is an avid runner herself and has completed 8 half marathons to date, most recently the Calgary half marathon in May! In the community She runs a youth running club at the local YMCA, has volunteered with the Alberta ballet, and volunteers at any sporting event possible. Alison will always strive to get the best results with her patients and is fully committed to returning her patients to a pain free and happy state!

Victoria McArthur-Kinesiologist

Victoria is a recent graduate from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. Victoria's personal experience as a student athlete has steered her interest towards athletics, specifically adolescent athletes. Through this she has developed a passion to help others through holistic methods. In her spare time she is a therapist for Calgary quadrant hockey teams, promoting healthy play, nutrition, and exercise to elite youth athletes. She aspires to be a Doctor of Chiropractic, specializing in Sport Medicine. Victoria enjoys outdoor activities such as downhill skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and snow shoeing. 

Katja Ruohio- Registered Massage Therapist

Katja graduated from the massage program at Mount Royal University in June 2009. She does various types of massage including Deep Tissue, Therapeutic/Sports Massage, Myofascial Cupping, TMJ, Prenatal, and some relaxation. She tends to specialize more in Deep Tissue, Therapeutic/Sports Massage, and Myofascial Cupping. She looks forward to extending her knowledge about massage and finding new ways in which she is able to help others. She is quite passionate about helping others and this is what drew her to being a massage therapist. She also loves being able to help teach people about their bodies. 

Lynn (Lenny) Maerz- Registered Massage Therapist

Lenny graduated from the Mount Royal Massage Therapy program in 2007 and has been working in a multidisciplinary clinic since 2008 where she primarily deals with MVA’s, chronic tension, sport and repetitive strain injuries and prenatal massage. Co-treating with multiple clinicians over the years has given Lenny significant exposure to a variety of therapies which enables her to customize your treatment plan to include other disciplines when needed in order to better assist you in reaching your treatment goals.

Kim Friesen- Office Manager

Kim Friesen, experienced in patient care, is the Office Manager at Momentum Health Mission. Kim graduated in 2013 from Reeves College, where she completed a Medical Office Assistant Diploma Program with Honors. This is added to her many years of customer service and previous post- secondary education in the optical field. Kim is an organized, creative and resourceful person who enjoys taking on a challenge and finding new ways of solving problems.  Along with her outgoing personality, she strives to create a positive environment for both patients and co-workers. Kim is a team player and is looking forward to playing an important role in the success of the clinic and more importantly, your recovery!

Jan Graza- Office Administrator

Jan is a fourth-year student in Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University. She has aspirations to be a Physiotherapist, once she completes her Masters in Physical Therapy. Jan has experience in customer service, which helps her display professionalism while providing the best experience for everyone. She also has a passion for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting and uses her knowledge about how the body works, to improve at the sport. She recently joined the team in March 2015 and is excited to be challenged and gain more skills in this field.
