What is Ayurvedic Yoga?

Ayurveda is the ancient healing system that developed alongside the Yoga tradition thousands of years ago. It provides lifestyle information from a simpler time that promotes longevity, vitality and good health. Ayurveda points up our individual tendencies and idiosyncrasies based on our unique constitution, filling in the blanks about our health obstacles and their root causes in the body, mind, emotions and the way we take action. When practitioners use this knowledge to inform their practice, it becomes customized very quickly, even in a group setting. Holly Blazina at our West Springs location uses Ayurvedic knowledge to expedite results and enhance each practitioner’s learning process.

Customized Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Sessions

Whether participating on your own, with a friend, or in a class setting, each participant will receive their own individual yoga home program to complete during the week between sessions. Each program is designed with individualized goals and needs in mind. Everyone is lead through the same opening, breath awareness, relaxation and meditation components, but the poses vary for each person.
